good things on a Thursday
- A dear friend from my main online community suddenly lost her father yesterday, so today another friend organised a community Zoom to do an evening prayer service so that she could say Kaddish and we could sit shiva with her. It was rich and sad and powerful and I was extremely grateful to be there with all of them, listening and being present. I am still feeling it echo, the enormous loss for my friend, the sadness we all felt sitting with her, but also the incredible strength of all of us being there together, witnessing, caring, loving.
I have been sitting here for a while trying to think of more -- and there doubtless are more, it was a day full of things -- but really, that one has filled me to the edges right now.
