My goodness, how did I forget Debo? I have read one of hers, although it was before I knew the Mitfords so I did not really have any context for it. Perhaps the next time I am Mitford-inspired I will read more; you are right about the perspective.

I read about 3/4 of the large book of letters last year before feeling that I had had enough Mitfords for the time -- I read it in tandem with Decca's own letters to balance out the so-much-Diana.
