no matter the future
Oct. 3rd, 2018 10:18 pmThe last night of vacation away -- there's still a few more days of school break when we get home, so it will be something of a vacation still, but of course all the domestic tasks must be picked back up, as well as some volunteering prep for the week ahead, and the Large Camping Trip (in which I and three others will take a swarm of elementary school girls camping for two nights) Looms.
But right now it is vacation still, away. I have banh mi (ham and pate), and cider, and Spotify continues to entertain me. I have more Margery Sharp to read, and a large variety of other books as well. I have tiredness, as I really have been sleeping very minimally, but not so much tiredness that I am unhappy. I would somewhat like to stay here longer, but I am starting to look forward to getting home; walking back to our AirBnB tonight I was talking with the children about it and we all agreed that we are looking forward to our own beds and seeing the cats again.
All right, the tiredness is ramping up, and spouse has gone to bed, and while it would be pleasant to stay up a few more hours catching up on the journals of other people and continuing to be amused by Spotify, it would perhaps be difficult to airport welll with smol children tomorrow, so bedtime it is.
Once upon a time I always had music or poetry running through my head, ready to provide subject lines for journal posts, but perhaps that well has dried up, or perhaps I have simply quit listening. Hmmmn.
